Every Monday Night (except the third Monday of the month) 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Welcome to the SLCFSA Youth Indoor Air Rifle Program.

We are part of the American Legion Youth Shooting Sports program and are sponsored by American Legion Post 535 in Oxford, Pennsylvania.

This is the beginning of a journey that can take a Junior to the Olympic Games, if they wish to pursue it.

We meet every Monday night (except the third Monday night due to the SLCFSA monthly membership meeting).

Shooting times are from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

After a short safety briefing we organize the Juniors into relays of up to 10 shooters and get them on the firing line.

We shoot in relays that take roughly 15 minutes to complete so that the Juniors don’t have a lot of time to wait until their time on the line.

This system lets each shooter complete 3 to 4 targets each night.

There is no charge to the Juniors or the parents.

We provide all shooters with rifles, pellets, targets, safety glasses, shooting mats, and shooting stands.

Juniors ages 8 to 18 are encouraged to join us. We will allow younger than 8 if the Junior is mature enough to listen to our simple line commands. We do not want to turn away any youngster that wants to try.

Parents are required to sign-in themselves and their Junior and must remain in the building.

We have NRA certified Rifle Instructors and Range Safety Officers on the line at all times to watch and help the shooters. No shooter will be left behind.

IN ADDITION we work hand-in-hand with the Mason Dixon Youth Shooting Group that meets every Tuesday night from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the American Legion Post 194 in Rising Sun, Maryland.

It is the same program and is also free of charge.

So, if you cannot make it here on Monday, we would be happy to see you there on Tuesday.
